Your Existence

cruel uninterrupted lines of rain

scorch and sear

disorder of direction attested

by a Starling's disorientated buoyant

flight upon dishevelled crosswinds

 

willows long decreed wallflowers

unrecognizable in their unforeseen

vivaciousness, unabashed orgy

not an utterance of weeping

as naked limbs dance

 

within this unforgiving storm - tulips -

gentle tenacity and beauty like no other

their resistance unwavering while

poorly rooted structures lay

something bare, caught sideways

in their lies

 

tempest lecturer expressive in her

presentation, one to adhere

 

dig deep, have confidence in your

existence
